Meta Platforms has released its new Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full AI models, which the company claims are competitive with top offerings from OpenAI and Anthropic. CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that these models demonstrate advanced capabilities, a result of significant investment and extensive research.
The Muse series will be offered as closed models for corporate clients. Pricing for the basic tier starts at 0.20 USD per million tokens, while the premium Muse Wonder Full access is priced at 200 USD per month. These models are designed to improve context retention during user interactions.
To address data privacy concerns, Meta is introducing Muse Confidential VM. This virtual machine environment is intended to isolate user data and chat history, ensuring that the company itself cannot access the information processed by its AI agents.
Zuckerberg emphasized that Meta is prioritizing the development of personal AI agents over the pursuit of artificial general intelligence. He believes the focus should be on creating reliable assistants that simplify daily tasks for individual users rather than solving complex scientific problems.
The company plans to accelerate the development of future AI models. Zuckerberg noted that he does not view AI as an existential threat and advocates for responsible development. He also highlighted that AI will likely lead to increased labor automation, changing how many people perform their jobs.
