Meta released its AI agent application, Muse, on September 8. Within five days, the app reached 730,000 downloads. By September 21, the total number of installations exceeded 2.5 million. The app is currently available for iOS with 1.5 million downloads and Android with 1.1 million downloads.

In the US App Store, Muse has surpassed ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok in the free app rankings. For comparison, Claude and Grok recorded 400,000 and 200,000 downloads respectively during their first 13 days, while ChatGPT reached 3.1 million. Meta's stock price rose by 11% following the app's performance.

The Muse agent is built on the Muse Spark model family and is designed to manage digital assistants for tasks like filling out forms and handling emails. While some features are free, Meta plans to introduce subscription tiers priced at $20 and $100 per month.

Amazon has banned the use of Muse on its platform, citing security and privacy concerns. The retailer stated that the AI agent bypasses personalization features and potentially collects user account data without authorization. Amazon emphasized that third-party shopping tools must operate transparently.
