Meta reported that its AI application Muse has surpassed 10 million users. During the third-quarter earnings call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg noted that approximately 25% of those who set up the service engage with it on a daily basis. The company confirmed these figures align with recent data from Sensor Tower.
Shopping has emerged as a primary activity for Muse users. Over a quarter of engaged users utilize the AI agent for purchases, with average transaction sizes exceeding $200. The platform leverages a connector from Plaid to facilitate these transactions, a partnership that has reportedly shown unprecedented activity levels for the fintech firm.
Beyond commerce, users frequently employ the agent for productivity tasks like email and calendar management. Meta emphasizes data security through its Muse Secure VM feature and plans to introduce Muse Confidential VM to further restrict data access. The company intends to scale the service to support over a billion people in the coming years.
Meta plans to monetize Muse by retaining a portion of commerce revenue while offering premium tiers for advanced models and increased token access. Although the service is currently compute-intensive, the company expects to improve cost efficiency by more than 10x within the next year, aiming for profitability once the user base scales.
