The Muse Charm handheld device, unveiled by Meta, features the company's Muse AI agent and includes a built-in 5G modem for standalone connectivity. The gadget allows users to interact with the AI without relying on Wi-Fi networks.

The hardware is equipped with a two-inch OLED touchscreen, a fingerprint sensor, and an integrated camera system. These cameras serve both for capturing media and for providing the AI agent with visual data regarding the user's surroundings.

Additional specifications include built-in microphones, speakers, and a USB-C port for charging. The device supports music and video playback and runs on a new operating system, with setup managed via the Muse app on iOS or Android.

A key feature of the Muse Charm is its ability to recognize and interact with other nearby units. Meta plans to release the device in December, targeting the holiday season, though the company has not yet confirmed the final retail price.

According to reports, the cost of the device is expected to be comparable to a typical smartwatch. Meta is currently finalizing details regarding mobile carrier fees for 5G access, which remain undetermined at this stage.
