Meta has launched Muse Gadgets, an open-source initiative designed for developers to create custom hardware integrated with its Muse AI agent. The company provides open-source firmware and a Linux software development kit to facilitate the development of new devices.
The project supports various hardware platforms, including Raspberry Pi and ESP32 boards. Users can connect Muse to displays, sensors, and actuators. Meta demonstrated a prototype called Muse Home Link, a USB-C device that connects Muse to home networks and smart appliances.
Meta is expanding the Muse ecosystem beyond consumer chatbots. The company recently introduced Muse for Small Business, which integrates with platforms like Shopify, Dropbox, and Slack. This service is available for free with specific usage limits.
To further its corporate strategy, Meta has established the Meta Enterprise Platform. This new business unit focuses on distributing AI products to corporate clients and small businesses, marking a shift toward broader enterprise adoption.
