Meta has introduced Meta One, a subscription service offering over 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The company reports 15 million combined paid subscriptions and trials to date. The service replaces previous single-app plans, such as Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus at $3.99 and WhatsApp Plus at $2.99.

The new offering includes two consumer bundles: Core at $7.99 per month and Premium at $19.99 per month. Both tiers provide increased usage limits for AI-driven tools, including image and video generation, the Restyle editing tool, and voice effects. Creator and business tiers are priced between $14.99 and $499 per month.

Meta aims to monetize high-compute users as it manages an AI infrastructure investment projected between $130 billion and $145 billion for 2026. Capital expenditures for the second quarter reached $31.08 billion. Analysts from BNP Paribas and Truist project that these subscription efforts could generate $13.5 billion by 2028 and $20 billion by 2030.

Data from Apptopia indicates that single-app plans are already generating revenue, with Instagram daily global revenue reaching $1.2 million and Facebook reaching $528,000 as of the week of Sept. 9. Meta plans to expand the Meta One service to its Edits video application and AI glasses in the future.
