Meta Platforms is set to release its third-quarter 2026 financial results on October 21, 2026. Analysts anticipate quarterly revenue between $63.3 billion and $63.4 billion, representing a year-over-year growth of 23% to 24%.
Net income is projected to drop to $15.44 billion. This decline is attributed to capital expenditures, estimated at $41 billion to $42 billion for the quarter, and a potential $10 billion legal charge related to social media settlements.
For the full year 2026, capital expenditure is forecast between $130 billion and $145 billion. Further spending increases are expected in 2027, contingent on the performance of the Muse AI assistant.
Launched in early September 2026, the Muse assistant reached 10 million downloads in 40 days. Investors are closely monitoring how this tool will contribute to revenue, as Meta lacks a significant cloud business to offset its AI investments.
