Meta is developing a unified subscription service called Meta One to consolidate its fragmented offerings across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem similar to Apple One and Google One, diversifying revenue beyond traditional targeted advertising.
The core of the Meta One package will be advanced generative AI capabilities powered by the next-generation Llama model. Subscribers will gain access to unlimited high-fidelity image generation, complex text reasoning, personalized digital avatars, and intelligent business agents.
The service will also integrate existing Meta Verified benefits, including account authentication, identity monitoring, and priority customer support. In certain regions, users will receive additional perks such as enhanced visibility for social posts and advanced data analytics tools.
This shift reflects Mark Zuckerberg's strategy to monetize the company's significant capital investments in AI infrastructure. By bundling services, Meta intends to increase user retention across its platforms and boost average revenue per user, competing directly with OpenAI and Microsoft.
The final pricing and initial launch markets for Meta One are currently under internal review. The company plans to begin limited testing of the subscription service in select North American and European markets soon.
