Dina Powell McCormick, a former Goldman Sachs executive and Trump administration official, has been appointed as president and vice chairman of Meta. Her tenure in this new role officially begins on January 12, 2026.

The primary responsibility of Powell McCormick is to oversee Meta’s infrastructure investment program, which is valued at $600 billion and is scheduled to run through 2028. This includes managing $145 billion in projected AI-related capital expenditures for 2026 alone.

In her new capacity, she will co-lead the Meta Compute division alongside Santosh Janardhan and Daniel Gross. The division manages data center operations, energy initiatives, and the financial engineering necessary to support infrastructure development.

Powell McCormick will lead financial negotiations with international investors and Wall Street institutions. These efforts may involve exploring capital structures such as project finance arrangements or joint ventures to distribute the costs and risks of the infrastructure expansion.
