Meta Platforms has increased its 2026 capital expenditure forecast to a range of $135 billion to $145 billion, up from the previous floor of $130 billion. These funds are allocated to AI infrastructure, including data centers, chips, and the development of the consumer AI agent Muse.
The company reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $64.60 billion, surpassing the Wall Street consensus of $63.37 billion. Meta also issued fourth-quarter revenue guidance that exceeds market expectations, citing positive performance from new models and the Muse agent.
Starting January 19, 2027, Meta will introduce a new class of nonvoting common stock, designated as Class C. Existing holders of Class A and Class B shares will receive one Class C share for every share they currently own as a one-time dividend.
The issuance of nonvoting shares provides the company with a new instrument for employee compensation and potential acquisitions without diluting the voting power of current shareholders. CEO Mark Zuckerberg currently maintains approximately 61% of the company's voting rights.
