Meta is actively promoting its new AI application, Muse, which launched on September 8. Following a presentation at the Meta Connect conference, the app saw a 27% increase in daily active users on Wednesday. Current download estimates vary by source, with Sensor Tower reporting over 3.4 million installs, while Apptopia estimates 4.3 million downloads to date.

The application is currently available exclusively in the United States and Canada. Since September 18, Muse has held the top position on the U.S. App Store, and it has led the Google Play Store rankings since September 19. During its first two weeks, the app maintained an average daily download growth rate of 55%.

Meta is integrating Muse into its existing ecosystem by leveraging cross-platform promotion on Facebook and Instagram. Internal house advertisements for Muse began on September 9, and by September 22, the app ranked among the top 10 brands by advertising spend. Paid ads accounted for 6% of total impressions through September 19.

Future updates for Muse will include video chat with an avatar, Mac computer support, dedicated email functionality, and integration with smart glasses. Meta’s marketing strategy focuses on demonstrating specific AI capabilities to users, moving beyond the general cross-promotion tactics previously used for platforms like Threads.
