Mercedes-AMG has introduced the GT SUV, its first full-size electric vehicle developed independently by the AMG division. The model is built on the dedicated AMG.EA electric architecture and features three axial-flux motors. The vehicle is scheduled to arrive at US dealerships in the summer of 2027.

The GT 63 and GT 55 variants are equipped with a 128 kWh usable battery pack, while the GT 53 model uses a 106 kWh pack. These batteries utilize cylindrical cells with NCMA cathodes and silicon anodes. The system supports DC fast charging at up to 710 kW for the larger battery versions, allowing a 10-80% charge in 12 minutes.

The GT 63 and GT 55 models deliver up to 1,153 hp, with a continuous output of 711 hp. The GT 53 produces 362 hp. The vehicles offer a WLTP range of 620 to 700 km for the top trims and 597 to 668 km for the GT 53. The GT 63 SUV has a curb weight of 2,695 kg.

Standard equipment includes rear-axle steering of up to 6 degrees. The GT 63 also features the AMG Active Ride Control+ system, which replaces mechanical anti-roll bars with active hydraulics and air springs. The interior includes a 14-inch central screen, a 10.2-inch driver display, and an optional 14-inch passenger screen.
