The demand for the Eva virtual assistant from MegaFon, which includes spam blocking and AI-based fraud protection, has increased by 25% over the past year. Data shows that 56% of users utilizing these security features are men.
The primary user base consists of individuals over 30. Specifically, 42% of active users are aged 31–45, 37% are between 46 and 65, and 10% are over 65. Users are increasingly adopting features to detect synthesized speech and deepfakes.
Every month, the assistant blocks over 25 million unwanted or fraudulent calls. The highest number of blocks this year occurred in June, exceeding the monthly average by 23%.
The service is most popular in Moscow, the Moscow region, Saint Petersburg, the Leningrad region, Samara, Rostov, Bashkortostan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Krasnodar, Sverdlovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Saratov.
