MegaFon has launched a specialized laboratory at the Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI). The facility allows students to design, configure, and test telecommunications network architectures using hardware and software complexes that simulate real-world corporate and operator environments.
The laboratory curriculum focuses on critical infrastructure protection, network administration, and troubleshooting. Students will gain experience in modeling link failures, managing optical routing, and utilizing domestic network management systems to maintain service continuity and optimize data transmission.
This initiative builds on existing educational partnerships between the operator and the university. Since September 1, 2026, 115 students have been enrolled in the TOP-IT START bachelor's programs, which cover software engineering, web development, and intelligent information systems.
PSUTI currently leads the ranking of universities providing graduates to MegaFon's technical departments, accounting for 9% of the company's technical staff. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry requirements to strengthen national technological infrastructure.
