MegaFon has expanded its network coverage across several districts in Dagestan, including Levashinsky, Kulinsky, Derbentsky, and Gergebilsky. The operator upgraded existing base stations and installed new ones to provide high-speed internet access to both large settlements and small villages with populations as low as 300 people.

The technical upgrade involved deploying additional mid- and high-frequency LTE bands. These improvements were designed to extend the reach of the fourth-generation network and enhance overall voice call quality across residential and social infrastructure, including remote mountainous areas.

According to Magomed Nasrullaev, director of MegaFon in Dagestan, the region sees an average annual growth in data traffic of 10 percent. Local residents consume an average of more than 300 GB of mobile data per month, primarily utilizing social media, music, and video streaming platforms.
