MegaFon has expanded its 4G network coverage in the village of Nesterovo, located in the Pribaykalsky District of Buryatia. The operator installed additional telecommunications equipment that supports multiple LTE frequency bands to reduce network load and improve service stability.

The network upgrade allows for mobile internet speeds of up to 110 Mbps. Furthermore, the deployment has enhanced the quality of voice calls using VoLTE technology. Residents currently consume approximately 27 GB of data and spend 21 hours on voice calls daily.

Olesya Stepanova, Director of MegaFon in the Republic of Buryatia, stated that the company is actively developing its network infrastructure in the Pribaykalsky District. Over the past year, new base stations were constructed in Pokrovka, Zyryansk, Turuntaevo, Talovka, and Staroe Tataurovo, alongside ongoing modernization efforts.
