MegaFon has deployed its first domestic base stations in the Belgorod region, specifically in the settlements of Razumnoye and Streletskoye. These areas have a combined population of approximately 40,000 people. The equipment was manufactured by Yadro, a subsidiary of ICS Holding.
The new hardware operates in the mid-frequency band and supports mobile internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps. The stations cover residential areas, local infrastructure, and segments of the M-2 federal highway. The equipment is compatible with GSM and LTE standards and can be upgraded to 5G via software updates.
This deployment is part of a larger agreement between MegaFon and Yadro, which includes the supply of 1,500 base stations. The rollout of this equipment is being conducted in stages across the country.
