MediaTek reported consolidated net sales of NT 64.2 billion, or approximately $2 billion, for August 2026. This figure represents a 44% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.

The growth is driven by the company's shift toward custom AI accelerators for Google. MediaTek is developing application-specific integrated circuits for Google's data centers, with mass production of the first generation scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The company aims to reach $2 billion in AI-related revenue for the full year 2026. By 2027, MediaTek plans to capture 10–15% of the projected $80 billion AI accelerator market, which could result in annual revenue of $8–12 billion.

Nvidia has invested up to $3.5 billion in MediaTek through a convertible bond sale. The companies are also collaborating on the RTX Spark product line to advance laptop GPU technology.

While the AI segment grows, MediaTek faces challenges in its traditional smartphone chipset business due to slowing global shipments, rising memory costs, and competition from Qualcomm.
