Mazda is restructuring its U.S. SUV lineup for the 2027 model year by discontinuing the CX-70. The company will replace the model with new two-row configurations of the CX-90, which will be sold alongside the existing three-row versions.

The 2027 CX-90 range features nine trim levels. All models receive a revised rear suspension crossmember and four new exterior color options. The base 3.3 Turbo Select starts at $41 345, representing a $400 increase over the 2026 model.

The gas-powered lineup utilizes a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Standard versions produce 280 horsepower, while upgraded variants deliver 340 horsepower. Transmission is handled by an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Mazda also announced three plug-in hybrid versions of the CX-90. These models combine a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 17.8-kWh battery, generating 323 horsepower. Prices for the PHEV range start at $52 340 and reach $60 345 for the top trim.
