BYD has introduced the second-generation Seagull electric vehicle, featuring a larger body, increased seating capacity, and a new rear-wheel drive configuration. The vehicle is available in five variants, with official prices ranging from ¥65 900 to ¥99 900. This entry price is ¥4 000 lower than the previous model year version.

The new Seagull measures 4 205 mm in length and features a 2 650 mm wheelbase, representing an increase of 425 mm and 150 mm respectively over its predecessor. The interior now accommodates five passengers and includes a 94-liter front trunk, with total rear cargo capacity reaching 1 380 liters when seats are folded.

Three higher-spec variants support flash charging, allowing a 10% to 70% charge in 5 minutes. These models are equipped with a 39.2-kWh battery providing a 420-km CLTC range and a 95-kW motor. The two entry-level variants use a 30.1-kWh battery for a 320-km range and feature an 85-kW motor.

BYD is offering trade-in incentives that provide a ¥3 000 discount on the guide price for each variant. Additionally, buyers of the three higher-spec models intended for non-commercial use receive one year of free charging at company stations. The vehicle also introduces an independent multi-link rear suspension.
