Mazda has confirmed that the 2027 Mazda 3 hatchback will continue to offer a six-speed manual transmission. The manual gearbox will now be available in the 2.5 S Premium Plus trim, which starts at $31 950, or $33 265 including the $1 315 destination charge. This represents a price increase of $300 compared to the previous manual-equipped Premium model.
The manual transmission is paired exclusively with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, which generates 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. This configuration does not support all-wheel drive or the turbocharged engine option. The 2.5 S Premium Plus trim now includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and adaptive headlights as standard equipment.
The 2027 model year lineup sees several adjustments to pricing and availability. The base 2.5 S trim has been discontinued, making the Select Sport trim the new entry point at $27 040. Meanwhile, the Preferred hatchback with front-wheel drive is now priced at $28 040, which is $600 lower than the previous version. The sedan base model starts at $24 750.
Turbocharged models remain at the top of the range, priced at $37 040 for the sedan and $38 190 for the hatchback, excluding destination charges. These engines produce 250 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque when using premium fuel. Additionally, the Preferred trim now offers an all-wheel drive option for the hatchback, starting at $31 305 with destination fees included.
