Maven Robotics, a startup based in Santa Clara, California, has secured $100 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by RoboStrategy Inc., with additional participation from LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures LP, and XTX Ventures. Prior to this round, the company had already raised $18 million from earlier investors.

Founded in 2024, the company specializes in industrial robotics for palletizing and material handling. Currently, the startup has deployed eight robots at a Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods company. These robots operate autonomously for 16-hour shifts with a reported uptime of 99% or better. The machines feature two vacuum-gripper arms capable of lifting up to 30 kilograms and can travel at speeds of up to 10 miles per hour.

The new capital will be used to manufacture 250 third-generation robots and initiate design work for a fourth generation. Maven Robotics aims to reach over 100,000 hours of autonomous operation by the end of this year, with a target of 1 million hours by the end of 2027. The company's leadership team includes former employees from Apple, Tesla, Rivian, and Zoox.

The startup focuses on general-purpose hardware and software solutions for complex material handling and assembly. According to CEO Hamza Derbas, the company intends to address specific industrial challenges, each representing a multibillion-dollar market opportunity. The firm estimates the market for its current palletizing operations at $80 billion, while the broader material handling sector exceeds $1 trillion.
