Mastercard and Alchemy have announced a partnership to integrate Mastercard Agent Pay and Verifiable Intent into the AgentCard platform. This collaboration aims to enable AI agents to perform online purchases on behalf of users, including ordering services like DoorDash, Amazon, and Uber, as well as executing trades on Polymarket.

The AgentCard solution provides developers with identity verification, digital wallets, and one-time-use Mastercard credentials. These tools allow AI agents to complete transactions at any online merchant that accepts Mastercard, while ensuring that payment details remain protected through the Verifiable Intent framework.

Mastercard introduced its Agent Pay program in April 2025 to facilitate AI-driven commerce. The Verifiable Intent framework, added in March, creates a tamper-resistant record linking user instructions, merchant details, and transaction outcomes. According to Mastercard, approximately 132 million consumers currently utilize AI tools.

Alchemy previously integrated AgentCard with Visa Intelligent Commerce in June. The company’s CEO, Nikil Viswanathan, stated that the partnership with Mastercard is intended to bring agentic commerce into the mainstream, focusing on the security and reliability required for daily consumer transactions.
