Li Auto has officially initiated its European market entry by serving as the official partner for the 2026 Solheim Cup in the Netherlands, providing shuttle services for players and VIP guests. This event marks the company's first operational step in the region.
The automaker plans to make its European exhibition debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show in October. During the event, Li Auto will showcase the Li 6 model, previously known as the i6, and disclose its global product lineup alongside specific business plans for Europe.
President Ma Donghui previously outlined a phased international strategy. The company intends to utilize a flexible approach, including the establishment of local subsidiaries, dealer networks, or exclusive distributorships, depending on regional market conditions and competition.
Li Auto is also expanding its presence in other regions. The company is targeting markets in Macau, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. For the Middle East and Central Asia, the brand will focus on L-series extended-range models, with the L9 receiving hardware and software optimizations for local use.
The company's roadmap includes launching the pure electric i6 in Europe during the second half of the year. Additionally, Li Auto plans to introduce a right-hand drive version of the MEGA model in key Asia-Pacific markets, including Singapore and Hong Kong, by the end of the year.
