Leica is preparing to release new Hammertone editions of its M-11P digital rangefinder and M-A film camera. Unlike the previous limited run of 100 units released in the spring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ginza flagship store, these upcoming models will not be limited in production.

The new M-A film camera will feature a darker metal finish and lack the anniversary branding found on the earlier version. This model is designed as a purely mechanical device, operating without any electronic components, batteries, light meters, autofocus, or automatic exposure features.

The mechanical shutter on the M-A supports speeds up to 1/1000 second, with a flash sync speed of 1/50 second. In contrast, the M-11P digital rangefinder is equipped with a 60 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, a 3-inch touchscreen, and 256 GB of internal storage.

Connectivity options for the M-11P include integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allowing for wireless data transfer to smartphones. These technical specifications highlight the distinction between the brand's purely mechanical heritage line and its modern digital imaging hardware.
