King Slide Works, a Taiwanese manufacturer traditionally known for furniture hardware, has secured a dominant position in the AI server infrastructure market. The company currently holds between 70% and 90% of the market share for high-precision sliding rails used in server racks that house AI training hardware.

The technical requirements for these components are extreme. Each assembly consists of over 100 parts with a tolerance of 0.02 mm. Despite a thickness of only 6.1 mm, these rails must support server chassis weighing over 40 kg. This precision is critical for systems like Nvidia Blackwell GB200, where space is limited due to liquid cooling requirements.

The company's financial performance reflects its market dominance, with a gross margin reaching 87.4% in the second quarter of 2026. While a single rail set costs less than $100, it protects equipment valued at hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. King Slide maintains its competitive edge through a portfolio of approximately 3,750 patents.

Although competitor Nan Juen has also entered the Nvidia supply chain for GB200 systems, King Slide remains the leader. To expand its capacity, the company has approved capital expenditures exceeding $600 million to construct what is expected to be the world's largest facility dedicated to the production of server rails.
