The Kama cardboard and paper mill, part of the Svezza holding, has significantly increased its use of a digital logistics service. Since testing began in March 2026, the number of shipments of finished products via the platform has grown nearly fourfold. By August, the number of successfully completed trips reached 75, compared to an initial 20 requests. Currently, the service handles approximately 5% of the mill's road transport operations.
The digital tool complements the mill's existing partnerships with six large transport companies under long-term contracts. It is primarily used for spot requests when regular partners cannot provide vehicles quickly. This approach helps the mill maintain a stable supply chain despite seasonal and geographical challenges.
The mill ships approximately 1,200 truckloads per month from its production site and distribution warehouses. In recent years, the shift from rail to road transport has increased the demand for flexibility and speed in vehicle procurement. The mill reports that its On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery accuracy remains stable at around 97%.
The next phase of the project is the integration of the digital service with the company's internal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This will automate request placement, reduce the workload for logistics managers, and enable end-to-end monitoring of cargo delivery within a single information window.
