The prediction market platform Kalshi has reached a monthly trading volume of $400 million in its commodities segment. This milestone was achieved seven months after the company introduced contracts for oil, gas, and metals.

According to the company, the growth rate of its commodities vertical is four times faster than the growth rate of its crypto markets during a comparable period. Total monthly trading volume across all Kalshi markets currently exceeds $10 billion.

Co-founder Tarek Mansour attributes this growth to improved platform liquidity, which facilitates tighter spreads and faster order execution. The company plans to expand its lineup with contracts for West Texas Intermediate crude oil, equity indexes, and additional metals.

Following funding rounds in 2025 and 2026, the company is valued at approximately $22 billion. Kalshi operates as a CFTC-regulated designated contract market, providing legal access for US residents to trade on real-world outcomes.
