Expedition 75 welcomed four new members on October 1 following the launch of Crew-13 from Florida. The Crew Dragon Grace docked at the ISS in seven hours and 55 minutes. The crew includes NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Joshua Kutryk from the Canadian Space Agency, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov. They will remain on the station for six months.

Crew-12 departed the station on October 7 and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on October 8. Following this, the Cygnus XL spacecraft left the ISS on October 9 after delivering 5,000 kg of cargo earlier in the year. On October 15, a SpaceX Cargo Dragon arrived at the station, delivering 1,671 kg of pressurized and 1,195 kg of unpressurized cargo, including a new solar array.

NASA continues preparations for the decommissioning of the ISS by 2030. On October 9, the agency issued a final Request for Proposals for the Commercial LEO Destinations program. NASA plans to select at least two companies by spring 2027 to develop and operate a successor station, with a proposal submission deadline set for December 8.
