Dallas-based cybersecurity startup Island has secured $400 million in a new funding round, bringing its total valuation to $6.4 billion. The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners. This latest capital injection follows a Series E round held just six months ago, which valued the company at $4.8 billion.
The company intends to allocate the new funds toward research and development, as well as international expansion efforts across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Additionally, Island plans to increase its workforce from approximately 1,000 employees to 1,500 by the middle of next year.
Island provides an enterprise browser designed to give businesses control over browser activity and security. Its current client list includes major organizations such as Pfizer, Chipotle, and American Airlines. The company was also ranked 28th on the 2026 CNBC Disruptor 50 list.
The startup is positioning its browser technology as a solution for managing the risks associated with autonomous AI agents. As companies begin deploying these agents to handle corporate workflows, Island aims to provide a centralized control point for monitoring agent permissions and actions within the browser environment.
