IonQ has introduced the Superion 256 quantum computing platform, developed in collaboration with subsidiary SkyWater. This chip is the first of its kind designed for mass production rather than individual construction. It features power consumption lower than that of a GPU rack and is compatible with standard data center cooling systems. The platform is expected to be delivered to customers by 2027.

Following the Superion 256, the company is developing the Superion 10K based on the 'Walking Cat' architecture. IonQ aims to achieve full fault-tolerant CMOS integration in a laboratory setting by 2027 and reach commercialization by 2028.
