Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan confirmed that the company remains a partner in Elon Musk's Terafab chip manufacturing initiative. Intel originally signed on to develop the project in April of this year.

The statement follows recent reports suggesting that Musk is also in discussions with TSMC regarding Terafab. This news previously impacted investor confidence in Intel's involvement.

Lip-Bu Tan addressed the status of the partnership during an event in Tokyo, which marked the 50th anniversary of Intel's presence in the Japanese market.
