Intel is preparing the Nova Lake processor series, featuring the flagship Core Ultra 9 4995HX. This chip will utilize a 28-core configuration, consisting of 8 P-cores, 16 E-cores, and 4 LP E-cores. The architecture relies on Coyote Cove for P-cores and Arctic Wolf for E-cores, representing a 16.6% increase in core count compared to current 24-core HX models.

The Core Ultra 9 4970H model will feature a 16-core design, combining 4 P-cores, 8 E-cores, and 4 LP E-cores, alongside an integrated GPU with up to 12 Xe3P cores. The 4995HX variant will integrate 2 Xe3 GPU cores. Both chips are designed with a single compute tile architecture, with the 4995HX compute tile measuring 14.8 by 6.6 mm, manufactured using TSMC's N2P process.

The Nova Lake-HX series is intended for high-performance gaming laptops and mobile workstations, with power consumption ranging from 55W to 160W. The standard Nova Lake-H series will cover a range of 28W to 115W. Desktop-oriented Nova Lake-S chips may reach up to 52 cores using a dual-compute tile design.

Industry forecasts suggest that the first laptops equipped with Nova Lake-HX and Nova Lake-H processors are expected to be unveiled at CES 2027.
