Intel plans to increase CPU prices by 10% in March 2027, coinciding with the launch of a major annual product. The company aims to improve gross margins amid a shrinking PC market, following a 13% year-over-year increase in client revenue driven by higher average selling prices.
The price adjustments are expected to impact server and mobile processors, particularly as high-speed memory requirements increase production costs. Market projections for the server CPU sector have been revised upward, with estimates now reaching $220 billion by 2030, compared to previous forecasts of $120 billion.
AMD is reportedly planning its own product releases between June and July 2027. These launches may include the Zen 6-based Venice-X server CPUs or the next-generation desktop processors codenamed Olympic Ridge. Intel's Nova Lake desktop CPUs are also scheduled for a Q1 2027 release.
