Intel has officially commenced the installation of manufacturing equipment at its Fab 62 facility, located at the Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. The company confirmed that both construction and tool setup are currently in progress, marking a shift toward greater transparency regarding its operational timelines.

The facility is scheduled to begin production by the end of 2028. While Intel has not specified the exact process nodes for Fab 62, the site is capable of supporting 18A, 18A-P, and 14A technologies. The adjacent Fab 52 is already operational and currently utilizes the 18A process to manufacture Panther Lake processors and Clearwater Forest server CPUs.

In addition to the progress in Arizona, Intel reported advancements at its site in New Albany, Ohio. The company has successfully installed the first major structural truss for the initial fabrication plant at that location.
