The project involved integrating two LED chandeliers from AliExpress into a Home Assistant smart home system. The goal was to replace physical remote controls and wall switches with a unified digital interface capable of dimming, changing color temperature, and switching between day and night modes.

The author identified the communication protocol as a 2.4 GHz proprietary radio signal using XN297-like chips. To capture and analyze the signal, an ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1 microcontroller was paired with an nRF24L01+ radio module. A 10–100 µF capacitor was added to the module's power lines to ensure stable operation.

The signal analysis revealed a 250 kbit/s data rate with scrambling enabled. The packet structure consists of a phase byte, a 4-byte ID, a command byte, a counter, and a checksum. Commands include power on (05), power off (09), night mode (10), day mode (11), temperature adjustment (07), and brightness control (02/03).

To implement the transmitter, the author used an ESP32 with the ESPHome component. Due to the metallic housing of the chandeliers, which acted as a shield, the transmitter was configured to send 60 packets per command to ensure reliability. Power for the controller was provided by a Hi-Link HLK-PM01 module.
