Glassnode and Fasanara Digital published their Q4 2026 Digital Asset Report, focusing on liquidity, derivatives, tokenized assets, and institutional capital flows. The report targets capital allocators and highlights a structural shift in market behavior.
A key finding is the growing adoption of crypto-native perpetual futures by traditional finance. Major trading venues are increasingly listing perpetual contracts tied to stocks, gold, and oil, moving beyond standard crypto assets.
The report suggests that institutions are integrating these instruments into long-term investment strategies. This shift forces crypto exchanges to compete directly with traditional futures brokerages for the same base of traders.
Previous collaborations between the two firms tracked significant market trends, including over $732 billion in capital inflows to Bitcoin and the growth of real-world asset tokenization from $7 billion to $24 billion.
Analysts warn that perpetuals carry inherent risks due to leverage, which can amplify liquidations. By adopting these tools, traditional traders are exposed to the 24/7, high-leverage nature of crypto markets.
