Anthony Welfare, a former Ripple adviser, notes that while the XRP Ledger possesses technical capabilities for payments and tokenization, institutional adoption depends on factors beyond technology. Key requirements for real-world integration include liquidity, custody, compliance, and interoperability.

The XRP Ledger is currently being tested by various institutions and integrated into broader financial projects. A European consortium is working on euro stablecoin adoption across multiple networks, including the XRP Ledger, reflecting a trend toward a multi-chain financial ecosystem.

Ripple has expanded its partnerships, including the use of Ripple Prime services by Brevan Howard and an integration with DriveWealth that utilizes RLUSD for global funding. Additionally, the IMF has included the XRP Ledger in its assessments of tokenized finance.

The investment vehicle Evernorth, which holds approximately 473 million XRP, recently debuted on the Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. Shares opened at $16.68 on October 12, reached a high of $19.38, and closed at $15.26 on October 14, marking a 7.40% decline for that day.

The listing of XRPN provides stock market investors with exposure to an XRP treasury without requiring direct token ownership. Meanwhile, the price of the XRP token itself trades near $1.34 as of mid-October, showing a 1.72% increase over a 24-hour period.
