The Ilyushin company, a division of UAC Rostec, plans to scale up production of the Il-114-300 regional turboprop. The current schedule targets the construction of approximately 100 aircraft by 2036. Production will ramp up gradually: three units in 2026–2027, six in 2028, and nine in 2029 and 2030, reaching a steady output of 12 planes per year by 2031.
While the facility in Lukhovitsy has the technical capacity to produce up to 18 aircraft annually, actual output depends on contract volume. The Il-114-300 is designed to replace the aging An-24 and An-26 models. With 52 passengers on board, the new aircraft covers a range of approximately 1800 km, nearly doubling the performance of the An-24.
Testing confirmed the aircraft can operate on runways as short as 1200 meters, surpassing the initial 1400-meter requirement. Future plans include certification for unpaved airfields, supported by a protective shield designed to prevent debris from damaging the propellers. The aircraft received its type certificate in the summer of 2026, with remaining temperature-related restrictions expected to be lifted by year-end.
Currently, there is one firm contract with the State Transport Leasing Company. The first three aircraft are allocated to the 2nd Arkhangelsk United Aviation Division, with one delivery scheduled for 2026 and two for 2027. Additionally, an agreement for ten more aircraft for the Aurora airline is in the final stages of negotiation.
