Huawei has opened pre-orders for its new Router X2 series, which includes the base model and the advanced Router X2 Pro. The standard version is priced at ¥478 ($65), while a two-pack costs ¥888 ($130). The Pro variant is available in three colors for ¥588 ($90), with a dual-unit bundle retailing for ¥1108 ($165).
Both models feature Wi-Fi 7+ support, which the manufacturer claims doubles data speeds in weak signal areas and reduces latency by 80%. The devices are powered by the Lingxiao 760 chip and include four signal amplifiers to improve coverage through walls. The system also supports AI Mesh for creating unified home networks, with setup assistance available via the Huawei Smart Life app.
The routers function as Bluetooth gateways for smart home ecosystems, offering compatibility with over 3,200 brands and 400 device categories. They also include a dedicated gaming gateway. The Router X2 Pro model stands out with magnetic swappable panels, allowing users to customize the exterior design, including the option to create custom panels using 3D printing technology.
