Huawei has launched the X2 router series in China, featuring a unique book-like design. The standard X2 model is priced at ¥478, while a two-unit bundle costs ¥888. The X2 Pro version, available in brown, white, and gray, is priced at ¥588, with a dual-pack option retailing for ¥1108.
The routers support Wi-Fi 7+ and utilize the Lingxiao 760 chip with a four-channel signal amplification system. According to the manufacturer, the devices improve data transmission speeds in weak signal areas by 100% and reduce latency by 80%. The hardware includes a gaming gateway and a Bluetooth gateway compatible with over 3,200 brands and 400 device categories.
The AI Mesh technology integrates with the Huawei Smart Life app to analyze floor plans and suggest optimal placement for the routers. Signal quality is indicated directly on the device housing. The system supports both wired and wireless networking, as well as roaming across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
The X2 Pro model distinguishes itself with a magnetic mounting system and the option for users to create custom shells via 3D printing.
