Huawei has significantly increased its influence in the display technology sector, according to industry reports. Recent insights from a tech blogger suggest that the company is preparing to introduce new smartphone form factors, potentially involving innovative screen designs or unique aspect ratios.
The company has already integrated various display technologies into its product lineup. These include external folding mechanisms, dual-folding and triple-folding screens, as well as specialized aspect ratios like 16:10 and 2:1. Huawei also utilizes dual-layer OLED panels and privacy-focused display features in its current devices.
In June, a patent for a triple-folding vertical smartphone from Huawei was disclosed. The documentation describes a compact design that expands into a long, remote-control-like shape. To maintain performance in such a form factor, the company developed an optimized structural layer intended to minimize signal loss when the device is folded.
