The 2026 Huawei MatePad Air features a 12-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The device is 5.3 mm thick and weighs 509 grams. It is encased in an aluminum body and comes in three colors: blue, pink, and white.
The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 4.3. It supports the M-Pencil Pro stylus, which recognizes 16,384 levels of pressure and features an intelligent button for app control and drawing tools. The device is compatible with the Magnetic Keyboard, which connects via the NearLink protocol.
Huawei positions this model as a hybrid alternative to compact laptops. While the keyboard lacks a touchpad, the company offers a separate Bluetooth-connected Wireless Mouse Lite Edition. The tablet does not include a fingerprint scanner, relying instead on facial recognition for security.
The display occupies 86.3% of the front panel. The model is available with a PaperMatte coating, which provides a matte finish to reduce glare and mimic the texture of paper. The system includes pre-installed software such as WPS Office, the GoPaint drawing app, and Yandex Alice assistant.
