Huawei has launched the Mate 90 smartphone series, powered by the new Kirin 9030, 9035, 9050, and 9050 Pro chipsets. The Kirin 9050 and 9050 Pro are the first processors manufactured using the company's proprietary LogicFolding technology.

The LogicFolding technology utilizes a multi-layer structure where the substrate is folded to allow vertical signal exchange. This approach increases transistor density by 55% and improves energy efficiency by 41% compared to traditional designs.

The Kirin 9050 features 238 million transistors and a 28% increase in density over the Kirin 9030. It includes a nine-core CPU supporting 16 threads, delivering a 31% boost in overall performance compared to its predecessor.

The Kirin 9030 and 9035 chips rely on vertical integration of software, hardware, and cloud solutions. The Kirin 9030 offers a 13% CPU performance gain over the Kirin 9020, while the Kirin 9035 improves NPU performance by 51% over the Kirin 9030.
