Huawei has expanded its game assistant barrage notification feature to additional smartphone models. The function, which allows users to view notifications as scrolling text during gameplay, was originally introduced with the Mate 90 series on October 1, 2026.
Current devices supporting the feature include the Pura X View and the Mate XT 2. Huawei confirmed that the company is actively working on adapting the tool for other smartphone models in its lineup.
To utilize the feature, users must update their system to HarmonyOS 7.0.0.109 or higher and ensure the Game Assistant application is updated to version 16.4.1.300 or later via the settings menu.
The barrage notification system allows for customization of text speed and size. It currently supports notifications from apps including QQ, WeChat, SMS, MeeTime, and DingTalk, alongside other existing game assistant tools.
