Huawei has updated the list of devices compatible with the Super Space Storage feature in HarmonyOS 7. As of September 28, 2026, the technology supports various models across the Mate, Pura, Pocket, nova, and Enjoy smartphone series, as well as MatePad tablets and MateBook Pro laptops.

The technology utilizes the Ark Storage Engine to perform system-level deduplication and compression of files. According to Huawei, users upgrading from HarmonyOS 6 to HarmonyOS 7 can free up to 22 GB on 256 GB models, 512 GB on 512 GB models, and 109 GB on 1 TB devices. The process may require the device to be charging while the screen is off.

HarmonyOS 7 also introduces Super Space Memory, which uses intelligent compression and reclamation to increase available RAM by up to 3 GB on supported models. Additionally, Huawei claims that new devices, tested on the Mate 60 series, can maintain 90 percent fluency after three years of usage through ecosystem optimization.
