Huawei has launched the HarmonyOS 7 Beta program for legacy devices, including the Mate 60, Mate X5, and Pura 70 series. Registered users receive the update immediately upon checking for software updates.
The update introduces advanced system features to the Mate 60 series, specifically the Hyper-Space Storage and Hyper-Space Memory technologies. These tools are designed to optimize storage capacity and improve background app retention efficiency.
New system capabilities include 3D spatial wallpapers, remote file sharing, and enhanced NFC 'tap-to-share' functionality for cross-device collaboration. The update also adds a 'Close Circle' feature for family health and location sharing, as well as smart recording with mind-map generation.
The Celia AI assistant has been upgraded to handle complex tasks, remember conversation history, and perform remote file searches on connected HarmonyOS computers. New accessibility features include real-time text-to-speech for hearing-impaired users and AI-based voice fraud detection.
System performance is enhanced through the Ark Engine, which optimizes scheduling, power consumption, and graphics. Additionally, a new 'Direct Power Supply' mode for gaming reduces device heat, and privacy is bolstered by a gaze-tracking feature that hides notifications from unauthorized viewers.
