Apple announced that Apple Intelligence will launch in China for iPhone 18 Pro users. The testing phase begins on November 4, with core features arriving in the iOS 27.3 update scheduled for December.
The integration includes Alibaba's Qwen model, which will support Siri, writing tools, and visual intelligence. Users can leverage Qwen to assist with text and image comprehension, as well as document analysis for PDFs and presentations.
Access to Qwen is available through a dedicated account login or via Sign in with Apple. The system allows users to generate original content through global writing tools and utilize camera-based visual intelligence to identify objects and locations.
The implementation mirrors the integration of ChatGPT, ensuring that user requests remain private. When used without a login, data is not stored or used for model training, and no information is linked to the user's Apple ID.
