Huawei and Seres have adjusted their partnership model for the AITO brand. Under the new agreement, Seres will lead product definition, design, marketing, retail channels, and service systems, while Huawei's terminal team will continue to provide deep support and empowerment.
Seres Group Chairman Zhang Xinghai clarified that the companies remain deeply integrated and are not ending their collaboration. He described the changes as an upgrade to the existing partnership, aimed at adopting a dedicated exclusive management model to enhance the brand and user experience.
Richard Yu, head of Huawei's consumer business, confirmed that Huawei's core team remains in charge of the design and quality control for all new AITO products scheduled for release this year. He encouraged potential buyers to proceed with their purchases.
The companies stated that this shift is intended to balance Huawei's technical expertise in smart vehicles with greater autonomy for Seres in manufacturing. This new collaborative model is designed to support the growth of the AITO brand in the electric vehicle market.
