Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Automotive Solution division has entered a strategic partnership with CATL and its subsidiary Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology (CAES). The collaboration focuses on integrating Qiankun's autonomous driving technology with CATL's Choco-SEB battery swapping network.

The agreement aims to create a fully automated energy replenishment system. By connecting vehicle, station, and cloud data, the system enables features such as autonomous station searching, vehicle positioning, and a 99-second battery swap process. This initiative is designed to support the era of autonomous driving.

The signing ceremony took place on October 19 in Ningde, Fujian. Key attendees included CATL Chairman and CEO Robin Zeng, and Huawei Senior Vice President and Yinwang CEO Jin Yuzhi. The companies intend to share resources and build a comprehensive smart energy ecosystem.

This partnership expands the existing Qiankun charging network, which currently includes access to over 2 million charging piles. Yinwang plans to implement a 10-minute service ecosystem by the end of 2025, integrating autonomous driving with parking payments, charging, and vehicle maintenance services.
